Messages from the Speakers
Steven Murphy Shigematsu, Psychologist, Stanford University School of Medicine and Founding Director of the Heartfulness Lab
”Zen2.0 is the best place to spend time with people on the front lines of mindfulness, compassion, and service. I attend this conference every year. Please join us and become part of a community that values our connection to our true selves, other living beings, and the universe. This year's theme, “Sitting on the Earth,” is a great opportunity to focus our energies to honor and protect ourselves and our beautiful planet.”
Takashi Maeno, Professor, Graduate School of Keio University and Musashino University
“In the summer, I visited Schumacher College, which is in the midst of a crisis of survival. The core of its deep ecology is the practice of well-being for all being, or as Mahayana Buddhism puts it, “the happiness of all living things. May all the being be happy.
Kazuha Ogasawara, bodyworker and clinical somatic researcher
”Zen2.0 is a place where the body simultaneously intersects with a deep exploration of the individual's inner self and the possibilities of society, others, and the outside world. I am filled with a warm energy.
Takayuki Matsumoto, Director of Internal Affairs, Kenchoji Temple
“Under a linden tree, on a piece of earth with roots, on a rough rug, the all-revealing meditation took place in the simplest of surroundings. During the rainy season, the retreat was under a roof, but the rest of the time it was under the traveling sky. Now let us go outside and sit on the earth.”
