ABOUT THE EVENT

Event Overview

The rapid evolution of AI is bringing about major changes to our society, the way we work, and organizational structures. We need to effectively utilize this wave of technological innovation and build a new social model in which humans and AI can mutually develop.

At the open forum commemorating the establishment of the "Kamakura AI and Human/Organization Co-Evolution Lab," we will present concrete approaches for co-creating a sustainable society 100 years from now from Kamakura, where the practical wisdom of Zen is fused with cutting-edge technology.

A vision for the future from the mindful city of Kamakura

The rapid evolution of AI is bringing about major changes to our society, the way we work, and the very nature of human beings. However, current AI development prioritizes only computational power and intelligence, and there has been insufficient discussion about improving AI's "ethics" and "ability to cooperate with humans." If things continue as they are, we cannot help but feel concerned that AI that is highly intelligent but lacks harmony with human society will become widespread.

The Kamakura AI and Human/Organization Co-evolution Lab will tackle this issue head-on and promote research and practice to deepen mutual understanding between AI and humans. From Kamakura, where Zen philosophy and cutting-edge technology come together, we will disseminate a co-evolutionary model of AI and humans in which intelligence and ethics are in harmony, and present a vision for co-creating a happy society 100 years from now.

This forum will create a space to consider the evolution of AI and the evolution of humans and organizations against the backdrop of Kamakura's historical environment and Zen philosophy.

Based on the concept of " Mindful City Kamakura ," we will engage in dialogue and exploration to create a happy society 100 years from now, where AI and humans can work together. Based on the modern interpretation of Buddhism and the Buddhist teachings of "Me, Nature, and Connection," we will deeply consider the mutual development of AI and humans and the evolution of organizations, and share a vision for realizing a "mindful planet" in 2050.
