Takashi Maeno

Professor, Graduate School of System Design and Management, and Director of Wellbeing Research Center at Keio

Received his bachelor’s degree at Tokyo Institute of Technology in 1984 and M.S. in 1986. Professor at the Graduate School of System Design and Management and Director of the Wellbeing Research Center at Keio University. Also holds a doctorate in Engineering.

Takashi has worked at Canon Inc. and consequently at the Faculty of Science and Technology at Keio University before assuming his current position. Takashi conducts research and education in happiness studies, happiness management, and innovation. His many publications include “The New Theory of Happiness in the midst of Dystopian Disaster" (President, Inc.), "Well-Being" (Nikkei Bunko), "Happy Workplace Management" (Shogakukan), "Happiness in Japan Theory" (Kadokawa), "The Mechanism of Happiness: An Introduction to Practical Happiness Studies" (Kodansha Gendai Shinsho), "Why Did the Brain Create the Mind" (Chikuma Shobo).
