Ryukou Matsumoto

Reverend of Fukuchiyama Nomanji Temple, Kenchoji School

Born in Kanagawa Prefecture in 1972. Graduated from the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, Tokyo University of Science. After graduating, he entered the Kenchoji Temple in Kamakura as a trainee, and became the chief priest of Nomanji Temple in 1998, a part-time lecturer at Kanto Gakuin Junior & Senior High School in 2000, and a part-time lecturer at Hiratsuka Municipal Asahuryo Junior & Senior High School in 2002. In 2002, he became a part-time lecturer at Hiratsuka Municipal Kyuryo Junior High School and a commissioned member of Kenchoji Temple. He is a missionary for various schools of Rinzai Zen Buddhism. Co-author of "Tsunagaru Bukkyo" (Connecting Buddhism) (Poplar Publishing Co., Ltd.) and "Mendou na Kokoro ga Rakuninaru" (The Mind Becomes Easy) (Makino Shuppan). Media appearances: "Bucchake-dera" (Asahi TV), "Viking" (Fuji), "Konna Koto de Mometemasu" (Asahi TV), and many others.
