From Zen2.0 co-chair Miki to all of you

Dear all

Greetings from Kamakura in the depths of autumn.

I am pleased to inform you about “Zen2.0”.

Eight years ago, this initiative was born from a desire to share Japanese spirituality with the world, with four founding members. Thanks to your support and participation, it has now grown into the world's largest international conference on Zen and mindfulness. I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart.

This year's theme is “Sitting on the Earth.

As the world becomes increasingly chaotic, it is time for us to sit firmly on the ground and find our inner center. Under this theme, which is also in line with D.T. Suzuki's concept of “Daichi-sei,” we will provide a forum for dialogue on the following topics.

Harmony between the earth and human health

The world of the soul as reflected by art

Zen and Artificial Intelligence speak of “Life

Leadership born from compassion

Our Steps Toward World Peace

In the ancient capital of Kamakura, we will listen to the wisdom of the earth and weave new wisdom. We look forward to spending such a precious opportunity with you. Early-bird tickets will be available until tomorrow, September 26. Please join us. Please join us.

1. Program Introduction - DAY 1: Friday, October 11, 2024

This year, the following programs will be offered at three venues: Hojo, Tokorotsukuro, and Seishoin.

The Hojo, which focuses on “dialogue and conversation,” the Togetsu-Ro, which offers a “physical sensory” experience, and the Shosho-in, where you can relax in a calm and peaceful setting away from the main hall. Please choose the program that best suits your taste.

We have received a video message from Mr. Stephen Murphy Shigematsu of Stanford University, who will deliver the keynote speech on Day 1.
