A message from Shishido, co-representative of Zen2.0, to everyone.
Everyone
The weather has turned cooler, and I hope you are all doing well.
Thanks to your support, "Zen2.0" is now in its eighth year. We are deeply grateful for everyone's continued support and cooperation.
In recent times, the world has been increasingly turbulent, with wars, natural disasters, economic inequality, political divisions in society, and even changes in social structures due to the rapid advancement of technology. It is precisely in times like these that we feel the message that we have championed since the inception of "Zen2.0" is more necessary than ever.
In order to foster harmony with nature, others, and oneself, to draw out the inherent potential of each individual, and to explore a better way of life for society, the spirit of Zen, passed down from ancient times in Japan, and the wisdom that is spreading throughout the world in the form of mindfulness, can greatly contribute to the realization of a society of compassion and coexistence.
In these uncertain times, we wanted to bring hope and connection to those who are suffering, those who are troubled, and those who wish for the realization of a society full of harmony and possibilities. With this in mind, we have decided to hold this year's event under the theme of "Sitting on the Earth."
Rooted in the wisdom of Mother Earth, we aim to restore inner peace and unleash the power of inner compassion by firmly grounding ourselves. Furthermore, we hope to create opportunities to cherish connections with others who share the same earth and take a step towards new possibilities. This year, together with our staff, we have planned enriching experiences through dialogues, lectures, and experiential sessions.
We are confident that we can deliver a fulfilling experience amidst the tranquility of the historic Kencho-ji Temple and the natural beauty of Kamakura, surrounded by the sea and mountains.
We sincerely hope that many of you will participate and that we can meet you all at Kenchoji Temple. We hope that this opportunity will broaden your hopes and possibilities.
I am deeply grateful for this opportunity.
