Akemi Fukuoji
Artist, Founder of AHKAH
Born to a father who was a jeweler, Akemi acquired qualifications as a gem appraiser and a diamond appraiser from GIA (Gemological Institute of America) in Los Angeles. While working as a gem appraiser at the Japan Gemological Science Institute, she managed the artist Fukuoji Kazuhiko and supported the development of his apprentices, as well as engaged in supporting artistic activities, all the while being involved in the art world.
In 1997, Akemi founded the jewelry brand "AHKAH" and served as the president and creative director for 20 years. Later, she established "filrouge" to support artistic activities. Drawing on her experience closely associated with artists over many years, she create three-dimensional artworks and paintings centered around gemstones, crystals, and minerals.
